What P2P means and how it works

P2P means peer-to-peer: you buy USDT from another person, and the exchange holds the seller's USDT in escrow until the seller confirms your payment.

  1. Pick an offer with a good price, a high completion rate and your payment method.
  2. Open the order; the USDT is locked in escrow.
  3. Pay the exact amount to the seller's account shown in the order, from your own account.
  4. Mark the order as paid.
  5. The seller confirms and the platform releases USDT to you.

Never pay outside the order page, never mark "paid" before paying, and never agree to finish the deal on WhatsApp or Telegram.

Step by step on an exchange

  1. Register on a licensed exchange available in your country and pass KYC.
  2. Choose "buy crypto", select USDT and your currency.
  3. Pay by card or bank transfer, or use the P2P market.
  4. USDT appears in your exchange wallet.

Sending USDT to your own wallet

  1. In your wallet (Trust Wallet, Tonkeeper, Telegram's Wallet and others), open USDT and tap "receive". Note the network.
  2. On the exchange, choose "withdraw", USDT, and the same network.
  3. Paste the address, add a memo only if the receiver requires one, and send a small test.
  4. After the test arrives, send the rest.

Wallet basics: crypto wallets and TON wallet. What USDT is and how networks differ: what is USDT.

Fees

  • Card purchases: often a few percent.
  • P2P: usually no platform fee for takers; the cost is in the price.
  • Withdrawal: a fixed network fee that depends on the network; TON and TRON are cheap.

Safety rules

  • Use two-factor authentication on the exchange.
  • Never share your seed phrase; no support agent needs it.
  • Be suspicious of anyone who asks you to buy USDT and send it to them for a job, a prize or an investment.
